Thabo has proven that it is possible to have more than one professional career, as he has his fingers in multiple pies ranging from music, business, medicine and property investments, says he is also pursuing his doctorate in Entrepreneurship.
He does, however, reveal that he had to sacrifice his medical career to further these studies. This hasn’t been easy, his previous patients still walk up to him and ask for medical prescriptions. When Pitse is not at work, he spends time with his wife and kids as he has pledged to be the best father and husband too. He manages the long travelling periods by keeping in touch with his family through Skype so that, although he may not be present in the house, the family may still have a face-to-face conversation with him. Pitse models Barack Obama’s fatherhood, as he says he considers him a role model within that regard. He also says Basetsana Khumalo is his business inspiration and mentor. His mantra in life is “Never try to fit in where you are meant to stand out” and he says he tries to live up to it every day, living his life on his own terms. Pitse says his purpose is to one day, as a fully-fledged investor in the country, contribute to the country by developing entrepreneurs and funding projects that will create jobs and grow the South African economy, and the economies throughout Africa.
